WERNER, MR. JACK A. Grand Haven, MI Mr. Jack A. Werner, age 57, died Monday, April 29, 2002 at home. He was born in Grand Haven, MI on November 7, 1944 to Harry & Gertrude Wabeke Werner & married the former Connie Veele on April 9, 1976. He was a 1962 graduate of Grand Haven High School & served his country in the U.S. Naval Reserves during the Vietnam War, completing 2 tours of duty. He had been a heavy equipment operator for the Ottawa County Road Commission for 29 1/2 years until retiring in February of 2000. He was a member of Second Reformed Church & enjoyed gardening & fishing. SURVIVORS: Wife, Connie; mother & father-in-law, Adrian & Harriet Veele of Holland, MI; 2 daughters, Kimberly Werner & Julie Jeffrey Williams, both of Grand Haven, MI; grandson, Tyler Williams; sister, Jean James Bylsma of Portage, MI; 2 brothers, David Nanci Werner of Sykesville, MD, Dr. Alan Karen Werner of Amherst, MA; aunt, Joan Weirenga of Spring Lake, MI; 2 sisters-in-law, Diane Ronald Schreur of Borculo, MI & Sharon Kelly Wagner of Holland, MI; 2 brothers-in-law, Duane Patricia Veele Borculo, MI & Steven Lisa Veele of Holland, MI; 19 nieces, nephews & 5 great nieces. SERVICE: Friday, May 3, 2002, 1:00 PM at Second Reformed Church with Rev. Larry Jackson officiating. Interment at Historic Cemetery.
