Jack Eugene Vinton went home to be with his Savior and his beloved wife, Mae, on August 28, 2024, in Muskegon, Michigan. He was born January 19, 1928, in Lakeside, where he lived most of his life. Jack was an active member of Lakeside Community Church. A "jack of all trades," he enjoyed casinos, dancing, playing cards, fixing things for people, and, most of all, spending time with family. Jack graduated from Muskegon High School in 1946 and served in the US Army Air Force from 1946- 1948. He worked as an expediter at Continental Motors until his retirement.
On June 17, 1948, Jack married the love of his life, Mae Ryan, who preceded him in death on March 24, 2018. He is survived by their children, Kathy (Jim) Crago, Jennifer (Joe) Emory, Dennis (Mary) Vinton, and Doreen (Carl) Lemon, 17 grandchildren, 30+ great-grandchildren, and several great- great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dell and Mary Vinton, his mother-in-law, Phoebe Berry, twin sisters, Evelyn and Ethelyn, and granddaughter, Theresa Emory.
A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held Saturday, September 14, at 11:00 am at Kingdom Embassy Covenant Church, 3025 Glenside Blvd, with Rev. Dr. Zawdie Abiade officiating.
VISITATION will be held at the church from 10:00 - 11:00 am. MEMORIALS in Jack's memory may be directed to Lakeside Community Church - (Helping Hands Ministry)
