Jack E. Tripp, 86 passed away on August 3, 2008. He was born in Muskegon Heights on March 12, 1922 to Ted & Hazel (Jackson) Tripp. Jack was a lifelong resident of Muskegon. In 1939 he married his high school sweetheart, Joanna D. Sundquist. Jack built their first home on Cutler St. in Lakeside where they lived until 1953. He then built their waterfront home in Bluffton where they have lived for the last fifty-five years. Jack loved to work with wood, especially building boats. He spent 35 years as a fireman for the City of Muskegon, retiring as Captain Jack. SURVIVORS His wife, Joanna; son, Ted Tripp of Guerneville CA; daughter, Carol (Thomas) Sundberg of Twin Lake; daughter-in-law, Barb Tripp of Norton Shores; 8 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; sister, Sarah Orr of ME; several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Jack Tripp of Spring Lake; grandson, Thomas Sundberg of Holton; brothers, Ted, Ben, Richard Tripp; sister, Elenore Roach. SERVICE There will be a memorial luncheon for the family at his daughter's home.
