Jack Shelburne

JACK R. SHELBURNE Mr. Jack R. Shelburne, age 80, of Grand Haven, died Tuesday, May 16, 2006 at his home. He was born in Dugger, Indiana on January 3, 1926 to Harold and Luna (Turner) Shelburne and married the former Alice Humphreys on November 27, 1948 in Muskegon. He served his country in the US Marine Corps. during WWII. Jack graduated from Michigan State University and had been a Civil Engineer with Ottawa County for 22 years, retiring as Director of Highways in 1986. He was a member of Edgewood Lutheran Church and former church treasurer, he was also a member of the American Legion. Jack enjoyed golf and computers and he was an avid sport enthusiast. Survivors: Wife of 57 years, Alice; son, Jack (Donna) Shelburne II of N. Carolina; daughter, Sue Ann (Harry) Tremonti of Rochester Hills, MI; 3 grandchildren, Elizabeth Ann, Alexander Lawrence and Jack III. Funeral Services for MR. SHELBURNE, will be held Saturday, May 20, 2006, 11:00 AM at Clock Funeral Home with Rev. Lewis Glick officiating. Interment at Fruitport Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
