Mr. Jack C. Sage, age 86, passed away Friday, April 20, 2007, at his home. He was born February 3, 1921 in Battle Creek, Michigan to Mortimer B. and Leona P. (Will) Sage and lived in the Muskegon area most of his life. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during WWII. On July 21, 1947, he married the former Rosemary Gilkes in Tallahassee, FL, and she survives him. Prior to his retirement in 1981, he worked 27 years as a meteorologist for the U.S. Government and had been stationed at the Muskegon County Airport. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. SURVIVORS include his wife, Rosemary; 3 children, Suzanne (Daniel) Moblo of Muskegon, Nancy (John) Morrell, Sr., of Quincy, MI, and Maurice (Glenys) Sage of Grand Rapids, MI; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Keith (Elsie) Sage of Hastings, MI and Richard (Carolyn) Kelley of Marshall, MI; and 1 sister, Phyllis (David) Settles of Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parents and his step-father, Jess Kelley. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Monday, April 23, 2007, at Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Dennis Lassanske officiating. INTERMENT will follow at Lakeside Cemetery with military honors offered by the Muskegon County Council of Veterans. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service, 10-11 AM Monday at the church.
