Mr. Jack L. Pendell, age 69, passed away Saturday, September 1, 2007 in Muskegon. He was born July 11, 1938 to David and Dollie (Borgman) Pendell in Muskegon, and lived most of his life here. Jack served his country proudly in the U.S. Army. He worked for many years as a traffic dispatcher and Freight clerk for several trucking firms in the Muskegon and Holland area including USF Holland Motor Freight, and Roadway Express. Jack enjoyed fishing, bowling, and especially spending time with his grandchildren. He was also an avid blood donor for the American Red Cross. Jack was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church where he had been an usher and a former choir member. On July 2, 1977, he married the former Caroline Pearson in Muskegon, and she survives him. Jack is also SURVIVED by his 2 daughters, Deanne (Steven) Estelle of Muskegon and Lori (David) McDermott of Danville, IL; 2 brothers, James (Bonnie) Pendell of Fruitport and Dennis and Marlene Pendell of Garden City , MI; his brother-in-law and best friend, Carl Pearson of Muskegon; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 10 AM Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1206 Whitehall Rd., with the Rev. William Uetrich officiating, and Full Military Rites under the auspices of the V.F.W. Muskegon County Council. VISITATION will be 1 hour prior to the service. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be made to the First Evangelical Lutheran Church or the American Heart Association.
