Jack Roland Lorenz

Jack Roland Lorenz, 78, of Muskegon, Michigan, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2026. Born June 8, 1948 to Louis and Jacquline Lorenz, He was the second of four boys.

A journeyman machinist and tool and die maker, he spent the majority of his career at the Sappi Papermill. Jack was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, bonfires and sitting by the river.

Jack is survived by his two children Melissa Lorenz (Carol Ripley) and Brandon (Angie) Lorenz , 5 grandchildren Zander, Evan, Zoey, Jace and Lucy. His brothers, Mike (Trisha), Doug (Marsha), Jim (Marijo), and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, consider firing up the grill, telling a good story by the fire or spending some quiet time by the water - Jack would say that's exactly how it ought to be done.
