LAMB, MR. JACK Norton Shores Mr. Jack Lamb, age 79, died Wednesday, August 17, 2005 following a long illness. He was born in Ashland, WI to William and Bernice Taitt Lamb on January 7, 1926, moving to Muskegon in 1927. He married his wife of 56 years, Barbara M. Bartz on January 4, 1946. She preceded him in death on November 4, 2002. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII, where he served in the Pacific Theater. He retired from Teledyne Continental Motors in 1983 as a member of Local 113. He is a lifetime member of the V.F.W. Post 446 and a past member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #668. Jack was instrumental in developing what is now known as Churchill Athletic Assoc., Smitty Field, in Norton Shores where he coached baseball. He also worked on the Muskegon Motorcycle Hill Climb for many years. Through out his life he enjoyed his motorcycle, baseball, golf, hunting & fishing. Mostly he loved spending time with his family & friends. SURVIVORS 3 daughters, Sandy Rev. Joe Galy, Bonnie Koehler & Terry Gary Curtis; 2 sons, Jack Sherri Lamb & Brad Paula Lamb all of Muskegon; 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren & a sister, Dorothy Hank Dreuth of Davison, MI. He was also preceded in death by his parents & a brother, Bill Lamb. GRAVESIDE SERVICE Wednesday, August 24, 2005, 11:00 AM at Norton Cemetery with Rev. Joe Galy officiating.
