HELMERS, MR. JACK WAYNE Norton Shores, MI Mr. Jack Wayne Helmers, age 63, died Wednesday, October 2, 2002 at home. He was born in Muskegon, MI on March 27, 1939 to Arend & Henrietta Buikema Helmers. Prior to retiring in 2001, Mr. Helmers had been employed as a Construction Mason at Superior Masonry for 25 years. An avid hunter & fisherman, he also enjoyed gardening & racing his sports car in club events of which he won many trophies. SURVIVORS His son, Eric Helmers of Norton Shores, MI; a daughter, Kerry Bart Gorman of IL; 3 grandchildren, Robert, Elizabeth & Katherine; his sister, Sandra Garry Purdy of Grand Haven, MI; several nieces & nephews.
