Jack Daniel Fitzpatrick

Mr. Jack Daniel Fitzpatrick, age 81, died peacefully Saturday, March 1, 2008. he was born on September 1, 1936 in Grand Rapids, MI and married Irene Sohasky on August 28, 1948. Jack was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving his country during World War II. He was an active member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, and worked for Eckrich Meats for 35 years retiring as a special accounts representative. Jack last worked for Avis Car Rental, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the American Legion and the Polish Union. Survivors include his wife, Irene; sons, Doug, Dave (Mel Murphy), Dennis (Jennifer); grandchildren, Jill (B.J.) Vogelsong, Scott (Jessica) McGarry, Lake Pickard, Matthew, Celia; great-grandchildren, Skye and Kyan; brother-in-law, Frank (Helen) Sohasky; and very special friends, Roy and Theresa Farrell. He was preceded in death by his parents Orin and Marion Olmstead and in-laws, Frank and Cecilia Sohasky. The Funeral Mass will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday morning at St. Michael's Catholic Church. Entombment will be made in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation this evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Pachesny-Jend Funeral Home, where the Rosary will be prayed at 7:30 p.m. Memorial Contributions to the M.C.C. Boosters Club.
