Jack C. Berg

Jack C. Berg, age 87, finally lost his courageous battle with cancer on October 7, 2007. Jack was born on October 12, 1919 in Muskegon, MI to Carl and Anna (Swarvar) Berg. He served in the US Army from 1941 - 1945. He married Mildred Hatfield in 1944. Later married Hazel Seratte who preceded him in death. He worked for many years at different jobs and finally retired from Conrac Corp. in California in 1982, from there he moved to Dyersberg, Tennessee. He loved to fish and putter in his yard. He also loved his family very much. He always had that twinkle in his eye and a smile on his face. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 12 years, Nettie Berg; one daughter, Jacklynn Elliot of Muskegon; one step daughter, Dale Sanderson of Dyersberg, TN; 3 sons, Michael Berg of Honor, MI, Carl (Darlene) Berg of Montague, MI and Kelly Berg of Muskegon, MI; 3 stepsons, Glen Baggett of Halls, TN, Ricky Baggett and Danny Baggett of Dyersberg, TN; a sister, Dorthy Smith of Muskegon, MI; 5 brothers, Norm Berg, Harold Berg, Fredrick Berg and Arthur Berg all of Muskegon, MI and Leonard Berg of Whitehall, MI; 5 granddaughters, Michelle Bennet, Lisa Grahm, Angela Berg, Rhonda Sorger, Alison Zeushel and 8 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Anna Berg; 1 sister, Linea Jensen and 3 brothers, George Berg, Carl Berg and Wilford Berg and 2 grandsons, David Jones and Peter Jones. Burial has already taken place in Dyersberg, TN. A Memorial Service will be held at The Don Rae VFW Post 8846, Witham Dr., in N. Muskegon, on October 27, 2007 at 11:00 am.
