J. Adolf Dahlquist

Mr. John Adolf Dahlquist, age 97, died Wednesday, January 7, 2009. He was born in Muskegon, MI on October 22, 1911 to Carl A. & Clara S. (Samuelson) Dahlquist and married the former Mae Conklin on October 9, 1937. Mr. Dahlquist had been employed as a Pattern Maker at Anderson Pattern for years until retiring. He was a member of the Muskegon Elks & Zephyhills FL Elks. For years, Adolf enjoyed making wood toys by the thousands for children in hospitals in Florida & Muskegon, especially at Christmastime. SURVIVORS Son, Ronald G.(Suzanne) Dahlquist of Muskegon; daughter, Carol (Don) Kvarnberg of Chelsea; 6 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; sister, Ruth Lundwall of AZ. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mae in 1985; brother, Ivan; sisters, Lillian Taylor & Geneva Jepson. SERVICE Saturday, January 10, 2009, 11:30 AM at Clock Chapel with Rev. Leslie K. Lew officiating. Interment at Lakeside Cemetery. VISITATION Saturday, 1 hour prior to the service at Clock Chapel.
