Iver Robert Valdermar Carlson

CARLSON, MR. IVER ROBERT VALDERMAR Muskegon Mr. Iver Robert Valdermar Carlson, age 90, passed away peacefully with his family by his side Wednesday, March 17, 2004. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on November 11, 1913 to Carl Ivar & Theresia Eugenia Bergman Carlson & married the former Alyce VanDoorne on February 16, 1951 in Indiana. Mr. Carlson served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. He had been employed as a Air Traffic Controller at Muskegon County Airport for 25 years until retiring in 1971. Mr. Carlson was a member of V.F.W. Post #446 & enjoyed crossword puzzles. SURVIVORS 2 daughters, Barbara Chris Matteson of Grant, MI & Marcia Mike Zuber of Roosevelt Park; 4 grandchildren, Rebecca Jackson, Stacey King, Brian & Kevin Zuber; 2 great grandchildren, Tyler & Katelyn King. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alyce. SERVICE A private family service will be held. Interment at Lake Forest Cemetery, Grand Haven, MI.
