Ismael Tito Gomez

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved Ismael Tito Gomez III aka Punga, age 38, on Sunday, January 5, 2025. He was born on March 30, 1986 in Chicago, Illinois to Ismael Tito Gomez Jr. and Charmaine Handy. He graduated from Muskegon High school in 2004. Ismael married Katrina Larson on February 14, 2022 at West Michigan Worship Center, where he was a member. Their ceremony was officiated by Pastor Robert Johnson.

Ismael was a devoted husband, loving father, and cherished grandfather. He will be greatly missed by his parents, grandmother, children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins and friends

Ismael was a born salesman. Over the years he held many different positions that included Cell Phone Salesman for Xfinity and Cricket. He was an Insurance Salesman for LA Insurance and Merchandiser for several different dollar stores and Survey.com.

Ismael had a passion for Nike Air Jordan shoes and owned nearly every version. He enjoyed playing video games and always had the latest equipment. He liked all genres of music. You would definitely find him playing his music while working around the house. Ismael was a marvelous cook. He could cook American, Puerto Rican, Mexican, and Soul Food. It was his love language to make feasts for his family and friends.

The most important thing in his life were his children. He was their best friend. He loved taking them on school field trips, Daddy-Daughter dances, and attended all their school functions.

Ismael was known for his positive traits, kind heart, strong work ethic, and great sense of humor. Ismael will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Father: Ismael Tito Gomez Jr.; Mother: Charmaine Handy; Grandmother: Jessie Thurmond; Sister: Karmen Gomez; Brothers: Andres A. Gomez, Orlando "Quino" Santiago, and Riqui J. Santiago, and Israel Jordan Gomez; Nieces and Nephews: Niasia Johnson, Syenia Myles, Ka"Mora Gomez, Olivia Santiago, William Santiago, Kyndall Santiago, William Milton, Riqui Santiago Jr, Kyrie Santiago, Elijah Santiago, and Leon Gomez. Ismael was preceded in death by his infant Son: Ki" Onni Gomez, Nephew: Jamarion Gomez; his dear Grandmother: Carmen Nieves and Grandfather: Rolando "Ding Ding" Nieves.

SERVICE:

There will be a Celebration of Life for Ismael at the Living Word Muskegon Church, 1551 Wood St, Muskegon, Mi on Friday, January 31, 2025, 1:00-3:00 pm. with Pastor Tim Cross Officiating.
