Iola Elliot Davis

Mrs. Iola A. Davis, age 89, passed away Sunday, July 19, 2015. She was born in Mecosta, Michigan on August 22, 1925 to Clifford & Mildred (Lemp) Stevens and married Leon Elliot on June 27, 1952 and he preceded her in death in 1992. She later married James "Snapper" Davis on April 3, 1999 and he preceded her in death in 2002. Mrs. Davis enjoyed traveling, was affiliated with Abundant Life Tabernacle in Cloverville and Full Gospel Tabernacle in Zephyrhills, FL. SURVIVORS son, Kenneth (Pamela) Elliott of Whitehall; daughter, Louise (Gilbert) Newton of Fruitport; sister, Levanta Christensen of Stanton; brothers, Marshall Stevens, Edward Stevens both of Lakeview; grandchildren, Mathew Elliott, Angela (Joe) Watkins, Robert (Jill) Newton; great grandchildren, Hayley, Sydney, Tyler, Alyssa, Jayden, Braylon, Morgan. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Leon Elliott and James "Snapper" Davis; brothers, Roland, Ronald and Gale Stevens; sister, Wannetta Collins. SERVICE Wednesday, July 22, 2015, 1:00 pm with one hour prior at Clock's Sunset Celebrations in Fruitport. Interment in Fruitport Cemetery.
