Imogene Berens

Mrs. Imogene "Genie" Louise Berens, age 90, passed away Friday, October 30, 2015. She was born in West Virginia on August 18, 1925 to Jasper & Alice (Anderson) Yost and married Alvin Berens on May 3, 1941. Mrs. Berens had been a homemaker & member of Grand Rapids Central Seventh Day Adventist. Imogene was an excellent cook and loved bowling, playing the game well into her 80's. SURVIVORS Daughter, Delores (Floyd) Bierman-Bevins; 3 grandchildren, Tom (Mary) Bierman, Christine (Ron) Junglas & Mike (Mary) Bierman; 5 great grandchildren, Hannah, Naomi, Mitchell, Noah & Matthew; sister, Leora Stone. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Alvin on September 25, 2001 and her faithful friend, Doug Nienhuis. SERVICE Tuesday, November 3, 2015, 3:00 pm at Clock Chapel - Grand Haven with Pastor Robert Stewart officiating. Interment in Robinson Township Cemetery.
