Ida Mccallum

Mrs. Ida M. McCallum, age 89, died Monday, November 2, 2009. She was born in Gould City, MI on November 20, 1919 to Michael & Mary (Sly) Cassidy and married Amos McCallum on July 11, 1936. Mrs. McCallum had been a homemaker and long time member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Spring Lake. She was an avid reader who enjoyed music, history & the news of the day. But foremost was always her family. SURVIVORS Sons, Harry McCallum of Fruitport, Byron (Patricia) McCallum of Grand Rapids, Neil (Judy) McCallum of Fruitport, Ken (Carolyn) McCallum of Fruitport, Jim (Jennifer) McCallum of Muskegon, Alan (Wanda) McCallum of Coopersville; daughters, Mary Beth (Peter) Williams of Gladstone, MI, Judy (Keith) Wolven of GA; 26 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren; brother, John (Betty) Cassidy of FL; sisters, Helen Cassidy of WI, Rose (Jack) Strait of Fruitport, Ruth Cassidy of CO, Patricia (Harry) Yale of Gould City, MI; many nieces & nephews; special friend, Darlene Field of Fruitport. She was preceded in death by her husband, Amos in 2003; son, John; grandson, Joe; daughters-in-law, Nancy brothers, Fred sisters Kate & Betty. SERVICE Saturday, November 7, 2009, 11:00 AM at the Clock Chapel - Fruitport with Fr. Dan DePew officiating. Interment at Fruitport Cemetery. VISITATION Friday, 2-4 & 6-9 PM at Clock Life Story Funeral Home - Fruitport with a Rosary Service at 6:30 PM. MEMORIAL: Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
