Ida Kroepel

Ida Grace Kroepel, age 85, of Hesperia, passed away unexpectedly on Monday evening at the Gerber Memorial Health Services in Fremont. Grace was born on Jan. 28, 1924 in Aetna to Edgar and Leta (Maynard) Fox and has been a lifelong resident of the area. Grace met and later married Arthur "Pete" Kroepel on January 26, 1946 in Hesperia. Grace had been a waitress at the Anchor House in Hesperia for 16 years until her retirement. Grace enjoyed flower gardening, walking and especially treasured the time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Grace is survived by her husband of 63 years, Pete; Lyndy (Wayne) Wygant; Sandy (Sonny) Kroepel; her grandchildren, Scott (Stephanie) Kroepel, Stephanie (Larry) Schmitz, Tisha (Ray) Wygant, all of Hesperia; 6 great grandchildren, Meradith Grace, Gavin, Riese, Camilla Grace, Hudson, Avery. Preceded in death by her sister, Anna Lee Gerdes. VISITATION: Friday, July 10, 2009 from 5-7 PM at Crandell Funeral Home - Fremont Chapel.
