Howe,David R.

David R. Howe, age 46, of Spring Lake died November 11, 2006 at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids following a sudden illness. Dave was born on June 15, 1960 to Richard and Caroline "Mac" (Mackey) Howe in Grand Haven and was a lifelong area resident. Dave graduated from Spring Lake High School in 1978 and had worked for G.B. Management Systems in Holland as a dispatcher. He was a member of SAL (Sons of American Legion) Grand Haven Post #28. Dave is survived by his two children, Mackenzie and Alex, both at home; his mother, Caroline "Mac" Howe of Spring Lake; his father, Richard (Mary Ann) Howe of Muskegon; 2 sisters: Lori (Jeff) Rohen of Grand Rapids and Mary Howe of Grand Haven; special friend Laura Howard and her sons, Nick and Austin; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. A service celebrating David's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 18, 2006 at Spring Lake Presbyterian Church with Rev. Daniel Anderson officiating. Friends may meet the family at the American Legion Post #28 in Grand Haven following the service for a time of fellowship and refreshments. Memorials may be made to a college fund for his children or the Spring Lake High School Athletic Foundation.
