Howard Ott Sr.

Mr. Howard L. Ott Sr., age 85, died Friday, March 11, 2011. He was born in Grand Haven, MI on February 27, 1926 to Frank & Cecelia (Walker) Ott and served his country in the US Air Force during WWII. He married the former Jean "Betty" Anderson on May 3, 1944. Mr. Ott had been the owner of Ott Construction and real estate broker for Century 21. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and life member of the Rod & Gun Club. He was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather who will be dearly missed. SURVIVORS Children, Howard (Kathy) Ott Jr. of Fruitport; Robyn Ott of West Olive; grandchildren, Lenny Vaughan, Adele Sumption, Eric Ott, Errin Grosser, Adam Ott; great grandchildren, Alyssa, Natalie, Ashlynn, Brin, Owen, Miles, Morgan. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty in 1998 and daughter, Roberta in 1945. SERVICE Friday, March 18, 2011, 1:00 PM and visitation 1 hour prior to the service at St. John's Lutheran Church with Dieter Haupt officiating. Interment at Lake Forest Cemetery.
