Homer E. Blohm BLOHM, MR. HOMER E. New Era, MI Homer E. Blohm, age 64 of Claybanks Twp., passed away Mon., Jan. 2, 2006 in Muskegon. He was born June 13, 1941 in Hart, the son of Earl F. Blohm and Alta (Dyer) Blohm. He married Joyce White on June 11, 1960 in Montague. Mr. Blohm was a life resident of Claybanks Twp. He was a logger. He also worked at Shaw-Walker for twenty-three years. Mr. Blohm operated his fruit farm for thirty-seven years. The Blohms were former owners of the Greenlawn Mobile Home Court in Rothbury. He had raised pigs and more recently enjoyed raising pheasants and releasing them. He was a Claybanks Twp. trustee for twelve years. Mr. Blohm was currently serving his second term as a Oceana County Road Commissioner. He was a licensed pilot and enjoyed flying, hunting and snowmobiling . He loved being out in his orchards. He bought and sold real estate (much of it in the Upper Peninsula, and loved spending time there). He was a lifetime member of the Oceana Eagles. He is survived by his wife, Joyce; his daughters, Pamela Blohm of Bay City, Kathy Blohm of Montague and Angie (Jeff) Erdman of Montague; his grandchildren, Joshua (Jenny) Blohm, Ethan Blohm (and fiancee', Erika DeCair), Jeffery Erdman, Jr., Lena Blohm, KayLee Blohm and Mollie Erdman; his great-grandchildren, Hailey Blohm and Dylan Blohm; and his brother, Earl Blohm, Jr., of Shelby. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Roger Blohm and grandson, Brandon Brown. Visitation is Thurs., 5-8 pm at the funeral home. The funeral service will be held Fri., 11am at Shelby Congregational United Church of Christ. Interment Pine Grove Cemetery. Memorials to the American Cancer Society are appreciated.
