Hobert C. "Hobie" Hill

Mr. Hobert C. "Hobie" Hill, age 85, died Sunday, January 27, 2008. He was born in Clifton, TN on August 24, 1922 to Alexander & Myrtle (Anderson) Hill & married the former Helen Cawvey on November 28, 1947 in Fruitport, MI. Mr. Hill had been employed as a heavy equipment operator at International Union Operating Engineers Local #324 for over 40 years until retiring 1984. He was a life time member of International Union Operating Engineers Local #324. Mr. Hill was an avid golfer at Terra Verde in Nunica & Arcadia Golf Club in FL. SURVIVORS Wife, Helen; 2 sons, Edward (Janet) Hill of Nunica & Hobie (Jan) Hill of Fruitport; 2 daughters, Patricia (George) Perry of Muskegon & Beverly (Gary) Jarvi of Fruitport; 4 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; several brothers & sisters. He was preceded in death by a son, Jerald Hill in 2003. MEMORIAL GATHERING Thursday, Noon - 2:00 PM at Clock Life Story Funeral Home - Fruitport.
