VALK, MRS. HERMINE F. Muskegon, MI Mrs. Hermine F. Valk, age 92, died Monday, June 16, 2003. She was born in Muskegon, MI to Benjamin & Della Hann Fles on August 26, 1910 & married John W. Valk on August 30, 1934. Mrs. Valk had worked as a Deputy Clerk for & was a former board member of Norton Township. She was a member of Calvin Christian Reformed Church & its Quilting Group & enjoyed square dancing. Survivors: 3 sons, Phillip Daughn Valk & Dave Laura Valk, both of Muskegon, MI & James Denise Valk of MO; 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Benjamin Edith Fles of Bloomfield Hills, MI; 1 sister-in-law, Betty Fles of N. Muskegon, MI; many nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death her husband, John on October 17, 1984 & by 2 brothers, Charles & Dr. Robert Fles. Service: Friday, June 20, 2003, 1:00 PM at the Clock Chapel with Pastor Ron Nyenhuis officiating. Interment at Norton Cemetery. Visitation: Thursday, 7-9 PM at Clock Funeral Home.
