Herman Snyder

Mr. Herman Snyder, age 96, passed away Monday, October 9, 2017. He was born in Allendale, Michigan on June 13, 1921 to William & May (Cook) Snyder and served his country in the US Coast Guard during World War II. He married the former Alberta Pierson on November 22, 1941. Mr. Snyder had been employed as a machinist for Challenge Machinery for 38 years until retiring in 1983. Herman enjoyed fishing, gardening feeding the birds, playing cards and visiting with family. SURVIVORS Sons, Fred Snyder of Idlewild, Rodney Snyder of Grand Haven; daughters, Peggy (Leroy) Britton of Nunica, Helen (Robert) Harper of Nunica, Rosemary Green of Ferrysburg; 12 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; several great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Alberta; grandchildren, William Snyder & Curtis Charron; 5 brothers & 4 sisters. SERVICE Friday, October 13, 2017, 11:00 am with visitation one hour prior to the service at Clock's Sunset Celebrations with Duane Smith officiating. Interment in Spring Lake Cemetery.
