Mr. Herman C. Lederer, age 89, passed away Tuesday, December 28, 2010. He was born in Muskegon, MI on May 11, 1921 to Herman Sr. & Elizabeth (Wicklund) Lederer and served his country in the US Navy during WWII as a radioman 1st class on the USS Lexington, USS Saratoga & the USS Oklahoma. Herman married the former Verna Smith on August 26, 1943 and was married for 67 years until Verna's passing earlier this month. Mr. Lederer had been employed as a air traffic controller for many years after his Navy discharge. He attended Calvary Bible Church. "Mission Completed", Dad. SURVIVORS Daughters, Patricia Lederer of Muskegon, Paula Nehra of Muskegon; sons, Wayne (Cindy) Lederer of Corvallis, OR, William (Katie) Lederer of Muskegon; grandchildren, Nikki (Tom) Wasielewski, Vincent (Robin) Levandowski, Jennifer (Jason) Coney, Victoria Vanderstelt, Nick Lederer, Jessie Lederer, Asia Lederer; 7 great grandchildren; sister, Irene Boucher; sisters-in-law, Elaine Lindback, Barbara Smith; best friend, Max Brandstrom. He was preceded in death by his wife, Verna & grandson, Nathan March. SERVICE A private family graveside service will be held later in the spring.
