Herman Alvin Hudson, age 81, passed away Friday, May 2, 2025. He was born in Natchez, MS on February 28, 1944 to Alberta Burns. Herman attended Jackson State University and received a degree in Music Education while playing the clarinet. While at Jackson State he met Odester "Dee" Strickland and the two of them were married in 1967. Herman served his country in the US Air Force. He was a music teacher for a short time but decided to change careers and eventually got a Masters Degree in Counseling from Western Michigan University. Herman worked as a law clerk for the Friend of the Court in Muskegon until retiring. For many years Herman was a Ham Radio operator, call sign WO8D, and was excellent at Morse Code.

SURVIVORS

wife Odester "Dee" Hudson; Daughter Helen (David) Houston; grandchildren, Anthony Houston, Peyton Houston; sister, Deneece Saucier. He was preceded by an infant son, Anthony and brothers Roy Hudson, Leon White Jr. Donald White.
