Henry J. Jacobi, Jr.

JACOBI, JR., MR. HENRY J. North Muskegon Mr. Henry J. Jacobi, Jr., age 87, died Sunday, August 22, 2004. He was born in Chicago, IL on October 2, 1916 to Henry & Bessie Culbertson Jacobi, Sr. & lived in LaGrange, IL. He was a graduate of Denison University with Advanced Degree Studies at the University of Chicago. He came to Muskegon in 1939 to join Brunswick Corporation as a Product Development Chemist. He held positions of Factory Manager, President of the Defense Division, Vice President of Engineering and Manufacturing of the Technical Products Division and retired in 1970. On May 29, 1943 he married the former Josephine Christie. He was active in community affairs, serving as Director & President of the Muskegon Manufacturers Association and Director and Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce. SURVIVORS 1 daughter, Paula Bruce Baker of Grand Haven; 1 son, Henry Chris Paula Jacobi of CT; 4 grandchildren, Steven Melisa Baker, Laura Bryan Showers, Henry C. Heidi Jacobi Jr. & Lisa Jacobi; 1 great grandson, Andrew Showers. He was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine on December 13, 2001. SERVICE A private family service will be held.
