Henry Holtz Jr.

Mr. Henry C. Holtz, Jr., age 92, passed away April 26, 2007, following a brief illness. He was born April 17, 1915 in Chicago to Henry and Martha (Stille) Holtz and settled in Grand Haven when he was a child. He was married to the former Cristine Niemiec for 40 years until she passed in 1995. He later married Harriet Ennenga Erickson in Grand Haven on December 20, 1997 and moved to Norton Shores. Mr. Holtz was a devoted member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Grand Haven where he sang in the church choir for 65 years. An accomplished musician, Hank was a member of the Grand Rapids Oldtime Concertina Club and was inducted into the World Concertina Hall of Fame in 2002. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Holtz was employed as a realtor in the Grand Haven area. He is SURVIVED by his wife, Harriet; 2 step-sons, Gerrit F. (Mary) Erickson of Ocean Springs, MS and Leif S. (Carol) Erickson of Norton Shores; 1 step-daughter, Esther M. (Terry) Struthers of Boulder, CO; 7 step-grandchildren, Lisa, Derick, Mark, Sarah, Colin, Erica and Chris; and 6 step-great-grandchildren. The FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, 1401 S. Griffin St., Grand Haven, MI, Monday, 11:00 A.M. with Dr. John C. Carpenter presiding. INTERMENT: Norton Cemetery.
