Helene Phillips

Mrs. Helene E. Phillips, age 97, passed away Monday, July 15, 2013. Helene was born in Muskegon, MI on September 19, 1915 to Robert & Margaret (Miel) Goudberg and married Charles Thompson. After Charles' passing in 1977, she met and married William E. Phillips, who then passed away in 1985. Mrs. Phillips had been employed as a Shipping Clerk for Commercial Press for 25 plus years until retiring. She was a member of Break Water Church of the Nazarene and enjoyed reading, playing the organ, her cats and watching Tigers baseball. SURVIVORS Stepson, William (Maxine) Phillips; several nieces and nephews; many great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; 4 sisters and 2 brothers. SERVICE Tuesday, July 23, 2013, 1:00 PM with visitation 1 hour prior to the service at the Clock Chapel - Muskegon with Rev. Aimee Mulder officiating. Interment at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. MEMORIAL: Break Water Church of the Nazarene Building Fund.
