Helen Marie Perri

PERRI, MRS. HELEN MARIE North Muskegon Mrs. Helen Marie Perri, age 79, passed on following a long courageous battle with cancer, Sunday, April 18, 2004. She was born in Muskegon, MI on May 26, 1924 to Philip W. & Elizabeth Doran Buckley. In 1944 she graduated from St. Mary's High School. She was a member of the Cadet Corp & a graduate of the Muskegon Unit, Mercy Central School of Nursing in 1947. She married Louis Perri on October 25, 1947 in Muskegon. Mrs. Perri had been employed as a Registered Nurse at Mercy Hospital and Grand Haven Hospital Obstetrics Department. She was a longtime member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, enjoyed gardening, needle work, and entertaining but foremost was her beloved family. SURVIVORS 5 daughters, Helen Jeff Evans of North Muskegon, Capt. Mary Perri Crawford U.S.N. retired of Fairfax, VA; Charlene Knue of Nashua, NH, Margaret Ben Goldberg of Long Island, NY & Elizabeth George Jurkas of Laketon Twp.; 8 grandchildren, Katie, Matthew, James, Michael, Elizabeth, Jeffrey, Daniel & Gregory; 1 sister, Mary Ellen Buckley of North Muskegon; 1 brother, Phillip Margaret Buckley of Muskegon; several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis in 2002; 2 brothers, Patrick & William Buckley; 4 sisters, Elizabeth A. Buckley, Alice Perri, Bernadine Carlson & Dorothea Perri; 1 son-in-law, Cdr Keith E. Crawford U.S.N. SERVICE Thursday, April 22, 2004, 10:00 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Fr. Ernest Bernott officiating. Interment at Laketon Township Cemetery. VISITATION Wednesday, 6-9 PM at Clock Funeral Home with a Rosary to be held at 7:00 PM.
