NELSON, MRS. HELEN A. Muskegon, MI Mrs. Helen A. Nelson, age 89, died Saturday, October 4, 2003. She was born in Bailey, MI on January 11, 1914 to William & Hattie Thomas Passage & married William ''Bud'' Young on July 30, 1937. He preceded her in death on February 25, 1951. She then married Mike Nelson on January 21, 1956 & he preceded her in death on June 14, 1957. Mrs. Nelson was the owner & operator of Bud's Bar in Muskegon for over 35 years until retiring in 1979. She belonged to the Muskegon Moose & volunteered for over 15 years at Mercy Hospital. Mrs. Nelson enjoyed family gatherings & was a former member of the Northern Lights RV Club. SURVIVORS 2 sisters, Coral ''Arlene'' Cunningham & Ardis ''Pat'' Wright, both of Muskegon; sister-in-law, Susie Passage & brother-in-law, Russell Rutz, both of Muskegon; 2 stepdaughters & many nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Bud 3 brothers, Russell Dornbush, Paul Passage & Max Passage; 1 sister, Shirley Rutz; 2 brothers-in-law, Newt Cunningham & James Wright; stepbrother, Louis Pierce & step sister, Catherine Brown. SERVICE Tuesday, October 7, 2003, 11:00 AM at the Clock Chapel with Pastor Bobby Cabot officiating. Interment at Mona View Cemetery. VISITATION Monday, 5-8 PM & Tuesday, one hour prior to the service at Clock Funeral Home. MEMORIALS: Hospice of Muskegon-Oceana. Clock - Muskegon
