Helen Johnson

Mrs. Helen Mary Johnson, age 99, passed away Monday, September 14, 2015. She was born in Muskegon, Michigan on July 3, 1916 to David & Helena (Wenk) Mangin and married Erwin Johnson on May 21, 1945. Mrs. Johnson had been employed at Brunswick, Shaw Walker, Kaydon and retired from Muskegon Community College in 1979. Helen was a member of Temple United Methodist Church and it's Ladies Guild, soup kitchen and reading program. She enjoyed her bowling league and bridge club and loved to travel and golf with her husband. She will be greatly missed. SURVIVORS Daughter, Carol (Paul) Knowlson; grandchildren, Shelley Knowlson, Todd (Vicky) Knowlson, Kim (Mark) Albertson, Kristin (Steve) Olzark, Katelyn Knowlson; great grandchildren, Brooke, Kael, Brigitte, Kirin, Brinn, Claire. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1966; and her brother and sister. SERVICE Thursday, September 17, 2015, 1:00 pm with visitation one hour prior to the service at the Clock Chapel - Muskegon with Rev. Jeffrey Bowman officiating. Interment in Lakeside Cemetery.
