Helen Hasper

Mrs. Helen F. Hasper, age 80, went to be with her Lord April 12, 2007. She was born July 11, 1926 in Muskegon to Bert & Jantina (Klomp) Hoeker where she resided most of her life. On June 8, 1951 she married Donald Hasper. In 1981, they moved to Holland, MI, where she assisted Don in managing the Blue Mill Inn for ten years, before moving back to Muskegon eight years ago. Helen was a former member of Bethany Christian Reformed Church, where she was a Calvinette Counselor for 15 years, and Holland Heights Christian Reformed Church. She was currently a member of Unity Reformed Church where she was active in a C.R.O.S.S Group, "XYZ's," and Women's Ministries. Helen was a former Christian School Bazaar Chairperson and an Election worker for many years. She was an avid reader and enjoyed knitting and sewing. She is survived by her husband, Don; 3 daughters, Marva (Daniel) Spitters of Muskegon, Luanne (Donald) Wolting of New Era, and Jane (Gordon) Dornbos of North Muskegon; 5 grandchildren, Matthew and Angela Spitters, Pamela Wolting, and Nicole and Jordon Dornbos. She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 brother, Burton Hoeker. FUNERAL SERVICES will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, April 16, at Unity Reformed Church with the Rev. Kyle DeYoung officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens, Holland, MI.
