Helen Fisher

Mrs. Helen (Timmer) Fisher, age 93, went to be with her Lord, Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at the Poppen Hospice House. She was born on December 12, 1914 in Peoria, Iowa to Rev. Harry and Dena (Kuiper) Bultema and had resided in the area most of her life. Mrs. Fisher was a member of Fellowship Bible Church in Grand Haven. She loved her family, baking, crocheting, volunteered for International Aid, and enjoyed all of her Bible classes. She was preceded in death by husband, Martin Timmer on July 29, 1964, and second husband, Joe Fisher on September 4, 1992. SURVIVORS include 6 children, Charles (Kathryn) Timmer of Muskegon, Marcia (William) Jelier of Spring Lake, Dale (Donna) Timmer of Grand Haven, Louise (Thom) Poel of Grand Haven, Mary (Dave) Komosinski of Muskegon, and Janice (Tom) Newmyer of Fruitport; step-children, Ruth (Wendall) VanGunst, Garry (Mary) Weesies, Marcia (Bob) Smeades, Thomas (Jackie) Fisher, and Joseph (Carole) Fisher; 40 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; many step-grand and great-grandchildren; sisters, Letty Hiddema and Gloria Fowler; brother, John (Bette) Bultema; brother-in-law, Herm (Pat) Timmer; sister-in-law, Goldie Fisher; and many friends at Pinewood Place. She was also preceded in death by sister, Esther; brothers, Daniel and James; step-daughter, Louise Weesies; and many other relatives. SERVICES will be 11 AM Thursday at Berean Church (635 Seminole Rd., Muskegon) with Rev. Kelvin Miller officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 5-8 PM Wednesday at The Lee Chapel Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey Rd. 231-798-1100 and 1 hour prior to the service, 10-11 AM at church. Burial will take place in Restlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Poppen Hospice House or Fellowship Bible Church will be appreciated.
