Helen Bolema

Mrs. Helen Bolema, age 78, died Tuesday, May 26, 2009. She was born in Muskegon, MI on January 30, 1931 to Thomas & Grace (Stoppels) Connell and married William Bolema on April 22, 1949. Mrs. Bolema had been employed as an Activities Director at Brookhaven Nursing Center and Orchard View Senior Citizen Activity Director. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and had a passion for singing in several area churches and community events. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting and needlework. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed. SURVIVORS Husband, William "Bill"; sons, Thomas (Kathleen) Bolema of CA, Paul (Joyce) Bolema of Muskegon, William "Bill" Bolema Jr. of Muskegon; daughters, Sheila (Roger) Sass of Muskegon, Nancy (Fianc, Lynn Reinecke) Bolema of Grand Haven, Lydia LaVigne of Muskegon; grandchildren, Peter (Laurel) Sass, Thomas Sass, Sarah (Benjamin) Rooks, Luke Sass, Faith & Alex Bolema, David & Rebeka Bolema, Andria Swiatek, Meghan & Evan LaVigne; great grandchildren, Veda & Owen Rooks; brothers, Alex (Luann) Connell, Terrance (Harriet) Connell, Robert (Lois) Connell, Brian (Mary) Connell.
