Helen Sophie Blaschke

Helen Sophie Blaschke, age 91, died peacefully Monday, July 7, 2008. She was born on July 3, 1917 in Grand Haven, MI to John and Sophie Galant. Helen married John Zamescialt and he died on November 2, 1950. She later married Fred Blaschke and he died on September 8, 2002. Helen was a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church, and for years was a self-employed beautician. Survivors are her daughters, Judith (Raymond) Ceplina of Fruitport, MI and Rosemary "Mitzie" Stordahl of Muskegon, MI; grandchildren, Aaron Ceplina, Amy (Gerald) Sattory, Melisa (Matt) Toppen, Scott (Melanie) Stordahl and Stacy (Geoffrey Plague) Stordahl; and 5 grandchildren. Helen was also preceded in death by her infant daughter, Mary. The Memorial Funeral Mass will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Michaels Catholic Church. Visitation hours will be on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the Pachesny-Jend Funeral Home, where a Rosary will be prayed at 7:30 p.m. Visitation at the church one hour prior to service.
