Hazel Turns

Mrs. Hazel B. Turns, age 82, passed away Thursday, March 15, 2007 in Muskegon. She was born in Twin Lake, MI on May 20, 1924 to Milo and Eva (Shively) Furman, and had been a life resident of Muskegon. Mrs. Turns had been employed by Kaydon for 32 years before retiring in 1988. She was a very active member of Evanston Avenue Baptist Church. She is survived by 1 daughter, Marva Knutson; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and she was the legal guardian of her 3 grandchildren, Louis Sherrod, Tahneea Sherrod, and Damien Watkins. She was preceded in death by 1 brother; 2 sons, Bill and Francis Bates; and 1 granddaughter, Brenda Ronning. SERVICES will be 11AM Saturday at Evanston Avenue Baptist Church with Rev. Allan J. Engstrom officiating. VISITATION will be one hour prior to the service at church. INTERMENT will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Montague.
