Harry Kepford

Mr. Harry G. Kepford, age 91, died at home Thursday, October 4, 2012. He was born in Harvey, IL on November 23, 1920 to George & Emma (McLaughlin) Kepford and married the former Rebecca Cross in 1947. Mr. Kepford had served his country in the Army Infantry during WWII, serving in the Pacific Theater and earning the Distinguished Service Cross, Purple Heart, and the Silver Star. He had been employed as a supervisor at Teledyne Continental Motors for 41 years until retiring in 1982. He was a life member of the Muskegon Elks. SURVIVORS Wife of 64 years, Rebecca; sons, William Kepford of TX, Raymond (Roxanne) Kepford of AL; daughters, Pamela Kepford in China, Kathleen (Greg) Collins of AZ, Roberta Kepford of Muskegon; 5 grandchildren; sister, Ruth Schaefer of Norton Shores. He was preceded in death by brothers, Ira "Ike" and James; sisters, Elizabeth "Betty" Rockcole and Grace Sietsema. GRAVESIDE SERVICE Service arrangements will be announced later.
