Harriet Louise Egeler

Mrs. Harriet Louise Egeler, age 77, passed away Saturday, December 8, 2007 at her home. She was born August 30, 1930 in Muskegon, MI the only child of Raymond and Ella (Blotch) Bogner and lived in the Muskegon area all of her life. On September 17, 1949, she married Richard "Dick" H. Egeler in Muskegon and he survives her. Harriet was a very active and involved member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church volunteering for many church committees and meeting endless needs of her church community over the years. She was also active with the Mexican and Hispanic Apostolate in the Diocese of Grand Rapids. Along with her husband Dick, she is survived by 8 children, Eugene (Pat) Egeler of Fruitport, Christine Wellman of Grand Rapids, Kathleen (Mark) Olson of Muskegon, Richard (Patti) Egeler of Twin Lake, Laura (Jack) Nummerdor II of Muskegon, Duane (Debbie) Egeler of Twin Lake, Annette Aldridge of Fruitport, Mark Egeler of Muskegon; 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Dennis Clarence Egeler in 1953 and her parents. THE MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be celebrated 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 12, 2007, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Michael P. Olson as celebrant. ENTOMBMENT will take place at St. Mary's Mausoleum. VISITATION with Harriet's family will be 2-4 and 6-8 PM Tuesday at The Lee Chapel Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey Street (231) 798-1100 The Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 PM Tuesday evening. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the Mass, 10-11 AM Wednesday at the church.
