Harold Zachariason

Mr. Harold L. Zachariason, age 91, passed away early Sunday morning April 29, 2007 after a long illness. He married the former Evelyn Marie Thompson on April 23, 1937. She preceded him in death on July 24, 2002. Harold was a very kind and gentle soul who was much loved by his family, neighbors and friends. He worked for Sealed Power Corp. for over 30 years as an experimental engineer. He enjoyed spending time with his family camping, fishing, hunting and working on a variety of projects in his machine shop garage. Harold and his wife of over 65 years always enjoyed being together and spending over 30 years wintering in Florida. He was a member of Central Methodist Church for over 60 years. He is survived by his children, Joanne (Van) Ulrich of Norton Shores, MI and Mary Murphy; grandsons, Clifford O. (Julie) Ulrich and Greg Murphy; granddaughters, Anne (Peter) Drost and Patti Murphy; great grandchildren, Caitlin Murphy, Samatha Henley, Justin Brown, Zachary Ulrich and many other "chosen" great grandchildren, plus several close cousins. Also his many friends and caregivers at Knollview Nursing Home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Olaf and Olive Zachariason, four siblings, Alice, Clarence, Dorothy and Maryanne; also Grandson, Steven H. Ulrich and son-in-law Delbert J. Murphy. MEMORIAL SERVICE: Saturday 1:00 P.M. at Central Methodist Church, 1011 2nd Street in Muskegon, MI. Rev. Randall Hanson officiating. VISITATION: 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
