Harold M. Mcallister

McAllister, Mr. Harold M. Muskegon, Michigan Mr. Harold McAllister, age 90, passed away Tuesday, April 13, 2021. He was born in Marine City, Michigan on January 9, 1931 and was adopted at the age of 2 by Claud and Florence McAllister. Harold served his country in the US Air Force in active duty for 4 years and was in the US Air Force reserves for 12 years. He married the former Lois Meyer on May 2, 1953 in Flint, Michigan and have been happily married for over 67 years. Mr. McAllister was a graduate of Eastern Michigan University earning his masters in counseling and guidance. He had been employed as a Clinical Services Director at Muskegon Regional Center, an Executive Director at Love INC., and a volunteer at the American Red Cross for over 18 years. After Harold's retirement he volunteered at Hackley Hospital and became the chief wheelchair repairman as well as a courier. Mr. McAllister was a life long Lions member at the Muskegon Lions Club and attended First Free Methodist Church. Harold was a man of many talents, whether it was performing house projects, miscellaneous woodworking tasks, building doll houses, or fishing to his heart's content. SURVIVORS Wife, Lois McAllister; Son, Richard (Deborah) McAllister of Tennesse; Daughter, Leeann (Joseph) Jeffery of Muskegon, Michigan; Sons, Ronald (Priscilla) McAllister of California, Ross (Naomi) McAllister of Rochester Hills, Michigan; 15 Grandchildren; 7 Great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Claud and Florence McAllister; Brothers, Robert and William; Sisters, Bonnie and Norma. SERVICE Friday, April 16, 2021 4:00 PM at Clock Funeral Home-Muskegon with visitation one hour prior. Reverend Carlos Ramos officiating. Internment in Crestwood Memorial Gardens, Grand Blanc, Michigan. VISITATION Friday, April 16, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Clock Funeral Home-Muskegon.
