Harold Gowell

Mr. Harold M. Gowell, age 88, passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2011. He was born in Muskegon Hts, MI on May 28, 1923 to Ebbie & Carrie (Holmes) Gowell and married the former Elsie Schutter on November 21, 1943. Mr. Gowell had been employed at Shaw Walker for 39 years until retiring in 1984. He was a life time member, former board member & Elder of Seventh Day Adventist Church. Harold enjoyed concertina, boating, sports and camping. But foremost was always his family. SURVIVORS Wife of 68 years, Elsie; son, Edman (Kathy) Gowell of FL; daughters, Betti Wolf (Walt) Reagan of Fruitport, Renee (Rene) Gonzalez of Grant; 11 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; sister, Wilda Beckley of Muskegon; brother, Clinton (Doris) Gowell of TN; several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Debra Dockerty in 2002; sister, Edna Stewart; brothers, Merlin & Vernon. SERVICE Friday, December 9, 2011, 12:00 noon and visitation 1 hour prior to the service at the Seventh Day Adventist Church with Pastor Kameron DeVasher officiating.
