Mr. Winteringham, age 81, died April 21, 2007. Born March 15, 1926, in Norfolk, VA, to Harlow and Mary (Curtis) Winteringham, he had lived in the White Lake area all of his life. On January 29, 1954, in Muskegon, he married the former Marilyn J. Moran, who preceded him in death in 2001. He had worked as a service technician for General Telephone Co. until retiring in 1991. He was a member of Whitehall United Methodist Church, had been an active member of Algot Johnson American Legion Post #69, a member of Wood-Tazelaar Chapter #11 DAV, and a member of White Lake VFW Post #3256. Mr. Winteringham served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and also served in the U.S. National Guard. FAMILY: 1 son, Jack (Rita) Winteringham, Meri (William) Jackson, Patti (Jeff) Stokes and Joni (J.R.) Johns; 6 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Robert (Margaret) Winteringham. MEMORIAL SERVICE: Saturday, April 28, 2007, at 2:00 PM, from Whitehall United Methodist Church with the Rev. Gayle S. Berntsen officiating. Military Honors will be extended at the church by Algot Johnson American Legion Post #69. DONATIONS: Memorial Fund of Wood-Tazelaar Chapter #11 DAV, 2415 E. Laketon Ave., Muskegon 49442.
