REETZ, MR. HARLEN EDWARD Spring Lake, MI Mr. Harlen Edward Reetz, age 75, of Spring Lake, died Friday, August 10, 2001 at Manistee Care Center. He was born on March 15, 1926 in Manistee, MI to Edward & Emma Marquardt Reetz & married the former Shirley Mae Anderson on June 5, 1948 in Manistee. Mr. Reetz served his country in the U.S. Army in the Battle of the Bulge, WWII & the Korean Conflict. He was a State Trooper for several posts for the Michigan State Police. SURVIVORS: Wife, Shirley; 2 sons, Wayne Renee Jonesville of Grand Haven Reetz of Standish & William Constance Reetz of North Bend, WA; a daughter, Susan Peter Leavens of Beaverton, MI; 7 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sister, Esther Marshall of Garden City, MI & a brother, Harold Reetz of IL. Mr. Reetz was preceded in death by his parents & by a daughter, Evelyn Pawlicki in 2000. MEMORIAL SERVICE: A Memorial Service for Mr. Reetz will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2001, 11:00 AM at the Clock Chapel-Grand Haven with Rev. Dan Anderson officiating.
