Dr. Hain, age 77, died February 14, 2007. Born August 28, 1929, in Grant Township, Oceana County, to Joseph and Ruby (Pranger) Hain, he had lived in the area most of his life. Only July 23, 1960, in Detroit, he married the former Lucille Sexton. A graduate of University of Detroit School of Dentistry, he was a graduate of Michigan State University and had also attended Michigan Tech University. He owned and operated a dental practice in Lansing for 25 years and in Whitehall for 10 years. He was a member of Montague United Methodist Church, was a Past President and member of the Lansing Lions Club, a member of the Whitehall-Montague Lions Club, a member of the American Dental Association and a member of the Michigan Dental Association. He served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. Dr. Hain was preceded in death by a sister, Ramona Raciot. FAMILY: His wife, Lucy; 2 daughters, Kim (James) Delafuente of Rockford and Alison Hain of FL; 3 grandchildren, Nick & Kevin Delafuente and Riana Hain-Gachiri. MEMORIAL SERVICE: Saturday, February 17, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. from Montague United Methodist Church with the Rev. Gary P. Bekofske officiating. A Military Salute will be offered at the church by Algot Johnson American Legion Post #69 of Whitehall. VISITING HOURS: Friday, 5-8, at Clock Funeral Home in Whitehall.
