BOYDEN, MISS. GWENDOLYN W. Grand Rapids, MI formerly of Muskegon Miss Gwendolyn W. Boyden, age 98, died Friday, October 31, 2003. She was born in Coldwater, MI on September 14, 1905 to Alpha & Alvina Denbrock Boyden & lived most of her life in Muskegon, spending her last years in Grand Rapids at Porter Hills Presbyterian Retirement Village. Gwen was a dedicated bookkeeper & assistant to Dr. Robert Mixer, D.D.S. in Muskegon, continuing her employment there into her 70's. She was the longest living member of Central United Methodist Church & cherished her many long years as a choir member. Her devotion to God & family was an inspiration to the many lives she touched with her gentle abiding love & faith. She was an avid reader into her 98th year, sharing her love of literature with family & friends, contributing regularly to her book club at Porter Hills. SURVIVORS 9 nieces, Judy McAllister, Linda Manley, Jan Evert, Susan Gwen Chen, Sharon Boyden, Jane Boyden, Shari Wolfe, Jean Boyden & Roberta ''Bobbie'' Brown; 2 nephews, Alan Boyden & Tom Boyden; several grand & great-grand nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; 4 brothers, Harlow, Mark, Bill & Louie Boyden & by a nephew, Joel Boyden. SERVICE Saturday, November 8, 2003, 3:00 PM at Central United Methodist Church with Rev. Jan Johnson officiating.
