Gregory Lee Powell, age 71, passed away at home in March 2024, of natural causes. Greg was born to Helen M. (Dombrausky) Powell and George A. Powell in North Muskegon, MI, on May 21, 1952. He is preceded in death by his brothers, George and Larry, as well as his father, George.

Greg was a devoted graduate of North Muskegon High School, attending most of the class reunions. Greg proudly served his country in the Army, and was recognized for his dedication and service, receiving the National Defense Service Medal for his work as a Clerk and a Light Infantryman. After his honorable discharge, Greg worked at the Post Office and, in later years, spoke of his time there and dreamed of returning.

Greg had a great love of music, especially old rock, and classic Chevrolet cars. His vast collection of books stood as a testament to his insatiable quest for knowledge of many topics. Greg leaves behind many colorful memories, including his laughter, which could fill a room. His imaginative stories will live on through his surviving family and friends, including his mother, Helen M. Powell, his sisters-in-law, Sharon (Gayle) and Ann Powell; his nephews, Damon (Dev) Powell and Travis (Kim) Powell; his nieces Tamara Hyatt and Kimberly (Christopher) Newton, as well as many relatvies.
