Grace Louise Johnson, 86, of Muskegon, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2025.

Grace was born April 24, 1938, the daughter of Julian and Alice Cole. She married Gunnard "Sonny" Johnson on September 7, 1957 and together they enjoyed 56 years of marriage until his death in 2013. Grace worked as a secretary at Glenside School in the Muskegon Public School System and enjoyed her job. She was also a member of Lake Harbor United Methodist Church. Grace enjoyed trips to the casino, sports, being with her family, and was an avid Michigan sports fan. She was a loving, giving, kind, selfless person who will be deeply missed.

SURVIVORS

Children, Jeff (Lori) Johnson, Jim Johnson, and Julianne (Gayl) Beals; grandchildren, Dustin, Erik (Amy), Ashley, Sierra, Brielle (Colin), Daniel (Melissa), Megan (Ryan); great-grandchildren, Ezekiel, Grace, Roland, Juliana, Millie, Monika; former daughter-in-law, Nancy Timmer; special nieces and nephews, Doug and Linda Workman, Tom and Dianne Young; and many other special nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by: her husband; parents; brothers, Bud and Ed Cole; and sister, Bev Workman.

SERVICES

Thursday, March 27, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Lake Harbor United Methodist Church 4861 Henry Street Norton Shores. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the start of the service at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Harbor Hospice.
