Gloria V. Mackie

MACKIE, MRS. GLORIA, V. Muskegon Mrs. Gloria V. Mackie, age 76, died Sunday, December 30, 2001. She was born in Empire, MI on February 1, 1925 to Florence Freeland Vanderlip & married William Mackie in Muskegon, MI in July of 1948. Mrs. Mackie had worked as a lead Secretary for the State of Michigan Probation Dept. for 20 years prior to retiring in 1987. She enjoyed sewing, gardening & was an avid reader. SURVIVORS: 1 son, Randy Mackie of Muskegon; 1 daughter, Vonny James Anderson of Fruitport; 3 grand- children, Darren, Keith 2 sisters, Leona Basch of Glen Arbor, MI & Luella Gray of Albion, MI; several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, William in 1962 & by her brother, Lucean ''Van'' Vanderlip in 1976. SERVICE: Thursday, January 3, 2002, 1:00 PM at the Clock Chapel with Pastor Rob Henderson officiating. Interment at Maple Grove Cemetery in Empire, MI.
