Gladys "June" Mast

Gladys "June" Mast, age 92, died early Monday, December 24, 2007 in Muskegon. She was born June 9, 1915 in Fleming, Colorado to Horace and Mable (Talbert) Moore, and had resided in the area since 1920. Mrs. Mast was a former member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, and had worked at Howmet for 20 years before retiring in 1973. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, winters in Florida, and spending time with her family. On June 17, 1938 she married M. Gerald "Jack" Mast, and he preceded her in death on May 5, 1987. SURVIVORS include son, Gary (Janice) Mast of Muskegon, daughter-in-law, Linda Mast of Muskegon; 8 grandchildren, Tresha (Ron) Kidder, Daren (Ann) Anderson, Deanna (Jeff) Chorny, Troy (Dawn) Mast, Amy (Aaron) Bodbyl-Mast, Kimberly (Greg) Lindner, Kristine VanderVeld, Keith (Amy) Mast; 15 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Mast was also preceded in death by daughter and son-in-law, Marlene and Doug Anderson, and son, Larry Mast. SERVICES will be 2 PM Friday at The Lee Chapel Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100 with Rev. William Uetricht officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 1 hour prior to the service, from 1-2 PM. Burial will take place in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Memorial Contributions to the American Cancer Society will be appreciated.
